Welcome to the MPI for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter
The MPSD investigates dynamical phenomena in matter down to the elementary timescales of atomic and electronic motions.
Andrea Cavalleri to be awarded the Stern-Gerlach Medal
The founding director of the MPSD will receive the prestigious prize in recognition of his “pioneering work in light-based control of quantum materials, with which he made groundbreaking contributions to controlling emergent phenomena in solid-state physics”.
